Disabling Antivirus and Creating *.STM file in Exchange Server

We can able to create *.STM database in the exchange server by means of “eseutil.exe” command tool. Inorder to perform this task we are performing the below task.

1. Disabling the antivirus scan.

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\MSExchangeIS\VirusScan]

In the right side of the screen change the value of "Enable" from 1 to 0 to make it disable

2. Creating the *.STM database file.

Eseutil /p /createstm "C:\Program Files\Exchsrvr\MDBDATA\priv1.edb"

3. Enabling the antivirus scan.

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\MSExchangeIS\VirusScan]

In the right side of the screen change the value of "Enable" from 0 to 1 to make it disable

Note: I know *.STM file is no longer present in Exchange server 2007/2010. J
